Visible progress
Bring weekly goals onto Home and show the days completed.
Make progress visible. Make it shareable.

A 2-week, solo UI redesign for the Duolingo internship design challenge. I used competitive research, concept exploration, and quick user feedback to improve weekly goal tracking and social sharing. This work advanced to the final round of the challenge.
Bring weekly goals onto Home and show the days completed.
Turn a completed goal into a moment users can share.
I sketched goal cards and progress indicators to explore ways to show time and goals without competing for attention. Completing a weekly goal became a natural moment to share, with nature and growth connecting the two features.
I translated the strongest layouts into screen concepts for quick feedback.
Informal reactions from 3–4 users favored visible streaks, days completed, and a progress bar. I carried those cues into the final direction.

A plant grows with each day of practice. Completed days and weekly progress sit on Home, alongside a motivational quote.
Compare in-progress and completed goals in light or dark mode.

Completed weekly plants join a personal garden. A visible share action turns that progress into a social post with a motivational quote.
